A thought on why JUP will fail if stakers are not rewarded and my suggestion to get jup to 5$+

In regards to the airdrops decided at launch, what I mean everyone knew that there was a larger portion going towards airdrop allocations for the purpose of growth. I think the team and Dao rewarded stakers very well and those future rewards have to come from somewhere?

Yeah… that’s horrible. Team’s biggest mistake.

I am among top % of stakers, my problem is not I will not get rewarded.

My problem is that rewarding based on Volume gets JUP into hands of 1000s of Rugpullers who will just dump it as they are in scam business and they don’t care

People who got most JUP first time were Rugpullers who used Jup.ag to sellout

Who said rewarding based on volume? The rewards should be based on the overall usage of the platform.
I think that’s exactly your problem…the airdrop not getting on the hands of real scammers, the millions of stakers that did nothing to contribute to the growth of the platform.

I am pretty extreme in my opinons, but Staking is not illegal, rugpulling is, and lot of Jup first time went to those people. We need to prevent that

That’s what the one year lock period is for. Plus from what I understood most of those would be excluded.

Reward stakers, that’s how you guarantee liquidity and growth.
Reward users too.

Usage of Jup products and features will suffer if users aren’t rewarded. This directly impacts revenue and company growth.

Token price will tank if stakers aren’t sufficiently catered to.

ASR significantly proposes a good amount of return. suppose take an example of solana itself it still has 10% locked which unlocks over a period of time does this means every stake holders deserves a share from every unlock to keep the price stable, sol is ATH rn. same carries with jup but its not a primary blockchain but its product is what drives users towards platform.

its great to invite more and explain what DAO stands. teams after all doing their best to fight against sybil.

staking/DAO was introduced to take part in decision making and thats what less efforts are rewarded through ASR, ASR after jupuary will prominently increase in time as 1 jupuary which was halted would go as this initiative itself.

Regardless jup won’t fail because of the reasons mentioned above, its really going to pain those who are farming, but i think real users won’t care, because they will be rewarded, Jupiter is on a level where investors believes in the future.

Given you are speaking for the farmers here, gaslighting the voters is definitely the not way to go for you and your narrative. Interesting choice to do so.

There won’t be any locks or vesting based on Meow’s essay. We should totally kill Jupuaries. @noccommander makes a solid point.

We need to move on from this asap. Too much debating going on! Bitcoin is breaking records and jup is struggling because of the negative vibes brought in by this stupid vote. The easiest way to move on and get back to bullish sentiment is to vote yes and end this.

There is only one simple solution for us at this point. Canceling Jupuary. The more I see farmers trying to guilt investors into giving them free JUP to dump on us, the more I get to this same conclusion. Let’s not submit to and feed the snake that is constantly trying to bite us.

It’s surprising that there are still stakers who haven’t unstaked yet lol

If such a drastic decision like removing the unlock period was made simply because some people were “complaining,” - it highlights a significant lack of planification from the team.

I hope they also reconsidered their famous “Jupuary isn’t for stakers.” At this point, showing respect and providing value to stakers is the least they can do.

Time to move on bro. Jupuary wasn’t announced 2 weeks ago. We all knew 1 billion tokens will hit the market this January.
I bought my tokens after the first Jupuary, knowing exactly what’s going to happen in January 2025.
More, it’s not going to be 1 billion, only 700 millions. For sure the price will take a hit after Jupuary but, I believe, the recovery will be swift.
It’s time to get behind the team and get over it.

It’s worth considering this from a different perspective; rather than signalling a lack of planning, the decision to remove the unlock period demonstrates the leadership’s willingness to actively listen to and incorporate community feedback. This isn’t a sudden shift in approach but rather a continuation of the team’s practice of adapting to input, which they’ve consistently demonstrated throughout.

Far from undermining the stakers, this flexibility reflects a respect for the broader community by addressing concerns as they arise. It’s a sign of leadership that values dialogue over rigidity and is willing to evolve plans to balance competing interests effectively. Actually believe @meow and team have actually been following debates in here based on that draft proposal today.

Jupiter need more holders of the current amount, regarding the price can be any price because people needs to understand the usage of the token around the ecosystem before buying or ape into JUP.

Getting more users by damaging the ones you already have is not the way
