I prefer the old logo. the current is already well-recognized, and changing it might create unnecessary confusion. people tend to associate brands with their existing logos, making drastic changes feel unfamiliar or even unnecessary. unless its for a thematic app icon, I would up for it.

Branding is so important. Jupiter has built a great brand so far. Let’s get a return on that investment!
It wasn’t clear whether this would be permanent or short term, so my vote is for keeping existing branding.
If the proposal were to use the cat variation for a shorter-term period, such as in the month leading up to Catstanbul, I could be up for that. It’s worked well for Google, mainly because by clicking on it, users can see the rationale behind the short term logo variation. e.g. a historical event that is being celebrated.
I could be up for the Google model on an intermittent basis. There could be some interesting historical events worth celebrating such as:
- Jupiter Anniversary or price milestones
- Solana anniversary or price milestones like reaching $500 - Jup logo has some Solana attributes
- Bitcoin anniversary - Jup logo shaped like BTC symbol
Jupiter is an essential part of the Solana ecosystem, and DeFi as a whole; this status bears great responsibilities of being a leader & role model to all of DeFi & blockchain.

Personally i like the jupiter logo as we have today and i would definetly wear a hoodie with the logo on it, I would not do the same for the new one. This is how i look at this thing that made an easier answer

Well I have to admit that the new logo looks pretty cool but I guess I prefer the old one,I think it is the one that best represents the true essence and authenticity of the Jupiter

100% agree. As a graphic designer myself, while I find the concept intriguing, the execution leaves MUCH to be desired.
I think the cat works significantly better as a mascot in Jupiter’s current state.

Old Logo. To paraphrase @solover “planets can accommodate cats” and others but a cat like planet excludes all others. Think about the signifier status of icons/logo/brand images. What is it trying to say? Changing this will make Jupiter appear whimsical, not a good image imo.
