Dear Jupiter DAO Community,
I’m proposing burning all unclaimed Active Staking Rewards (ASR) from the last five quarters (Q3 2024 through Q2 2025) to permanently remove them from circulation. This decisive action would reduce JUP’s circulating supply, directly boosting token scarcity and price appreciation, countering inflationary pressures from ongoing emissions.
The benefits include enhanced value for staked holders, incentivizing active governance participation by rewarding commitment without diluting rewards for engaged voters. It aligns perfectly with JUP emission goals, fostering a sustainable, deflationary model that drives long-term ecosystem growth and community alignment.
Everything is not about price most time, those Unclaimed are just in circulation for nothing, some are Unclaimed because they are small or low in allocation, setting standards threshold can as well help to solve many Unclaimed issues.
I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this question. I have vision problems, and it limits the time I can spend online. Have a good amount of JUP staked. I’m within the top 1%. It’s never not been staked since I got into JUP, going on two years. Long story short, I am sick and have been for years, so I’m in and out of the hospital, or constantly recovering from surgeries, which makes it challenging to keep up with all the projects. I was able to claim my ASR rewards back in July, but now I’m wondering if there is any advantage to keeping my JUP staked at this point? I appreciate any help or advice. Thank you!
You can still continue to stake your $Jup and still earn ASR but voting is paused till 2026 but active staking reward continue. You can still stake to earn more ASR.
Thanks for responding, I appreciate it!! It’s still staked. I’ve never unstaked it. When I claim rewards, I add those to my staked position. So even though there are no more votes, am I still earning rewards? If so, what is it based on? Again, I apologize, as I’m sure this info is readily available somewhere; it’s just that everything is becoming such an effing challenge lately, but I’m not ready to give up or get out, so I do really appreciate the help and patience.
Awesome!! Thank you. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your help. People like you, who show kindness and willingness to help others, make these communities valuable assets to the projects they represent.
