They don’t care man about the traders. The DAO is what matters to them at this point in time.
I said it before, the traders are the backbone of any exchange. Everything else is just lots of noise.
The exchange will thrive as long the traders will be paying the fees.
And guess what, summer or winter, day or night, bear cycle or bull cycle the traders will be trading on daily/weekly basis.
I’m not top dog on Jupiter perps, but I have a decent volume. How do you think I feel to see stakers deciding for me and other traders if we should get a cut of Jupuary?
I’ve decided to chill out a bit, take a step back and see where the things are going. Let them have it for now.

No outsider is talking about Jupiter because of the DAO. Everybody is looking at volume, fees generated by the platform, number of users (traders). That’s what really matters to any trading platform.

The answer is that the other side should have come up with a better plan and rather than saying just vote and we wait and see, should have provided a better plan to counter the fear of asset dilution. I do not really see any official response from Meaow to address those concerns
And I will probably vote no.
In general, my preference would be to have them use those funds for rewards with time locks and vesting rather than giving those away that easily
This was my thought when I saw the comments of more value Jupiters value is that it’s far more cheaper than a bot I’m new to crypto and Jupiter was the only viable trading option after losing hundreds of $ on trading bots it as a real strong community and team unlike most crypto assets I’m happy to be here in 2024 and have no doubt Jupiter with only get better and get mass adoption by new comers like my self

It is crazy that there are people who trade 6 figure sums in perps on Jupiter and have 0 idea now the DAO works, or how loud the staking voice is in all of the forums. I can think of 3 users that fit this description and what ever they have lost in terms of actual dollars is several times more than the combined value of ALOT of whale stakes. This vote will definitely serve as a means of atleast bringing their attention to the workings of the DAO.
I’m tired of reading the inflated opinions of people that were given 6 figure amounts of JUP and wanting to keep that all to themselves. Not to mention that the revenue generated from their losses certainly BUT THE CARRY IN FEES ON SOME OF THESE POSITIONS TRADED IN PERPS IS YOUR STAKE.
entitlement at its finest on display. The fees using Jup perps are absolutely unreal and compounded heavily if the position goes against you even by a single percent. Without a doubt one of the most profitable sources of income for the team.
But we are not going to consider volume as a requirement. Forget Kols like KOOK dumping whatever their allocation is. That is short term at best and not even significant enough to affect price really. What happens if those extremely high volume perp traders simply choose to trade elsewhere ? Platform is going to be sustained by staking alone?

I have no dog in that fight as I am not a whale. However the opportunity to buy more JUP and have it in the hands of active participants in the DAO is arguably better than anybody who is choosing to buy or sell because a single vote did not go their way. Almost sounds like a win win scenario unfolding regardless of the teams decision.
Stakers vote to cancel jupuary. Volatility/ price dips either way affording more respectable entry. Would never buy at this price personally.
OR
Jupuary passes and there are that many new holders regardless of what the price does.

I don’t know…if they cancel Jupuary, they will have to find a way to “throw” these tokens on the market, sooner or later. They won’t burn anymore tokens.
From what I’ve seen today, it seems like the the team will push hard for Jupuary to happen. Let’s hope it’s going to be Jupuary and not Apriluary.

They will and quite frankly it’s stupid not to. The avg alt coin loses 90% of its value from the peak

Don’t overact to this first vote. It’s only a gauge… have faith in the team and the whales in the DAO. The whales aren’t whales cuz they don’t understand what’s going on. Like meow said on the call earlier… he’s not here to light $ on fire, and neither are the whales.

I’d prefer an unlimited supply as long as they don’t release more than 10% of circulating supply per year. Dropping 50% of circulating supply at once unlocked is not a good idea
Again this is a whole new EXPERIMENT.
And the BEST way to grow IS TO PUT EVERY TOKEN INTO CIRCULATION.
If it fails we Tried. It wont thought because I’m living proof of a better Life quality and the Journey is becoming MOST IMPORTANT - As is should be.

Incredibly silly comment, we exist in the same space and looking to other projects for what has been successful and what hasn’t is well worth it.
Learn from the mistakes of others rather than diving in headfirst with blinders on like you’re implying.
Strong community sentiment = stronger user engagement = better token prices
