This is more than just an alt coin.
+100M JUP has been set to unstake since the first JUP rally was held, and the number is growing exponentially. Thankfully there are lots of other people too who sees this through the numbers. ( source )
The price movement of JUP was closely following SOL until recently. Now JUP is underperforming SOL. And as said in the quote, there is more to come if the next proposal isnât something what satisfies the stakers/voters.
We can also see that 43% of the votes are against going for 2 more Jupuaries with the current info available and NO votes are underrepresented since the unstakers are mostly NO voters. ( source )
And btw, this is not FUD, this is facts.
These numbers show that there will be more sell pressure in the next 30 days⌠on the bright side, ASR should increase with the amount being unstaked. Letâs hope this team makes the necessary adjustments and prove the unstakers wrong!
Boom, mic drop haha. Total honesty there with your comment.
Nâa we just pass it based on the fact that 58% voted yes or we keep at it till we get a pass or just let the team decide. No jupuary will be the worst outcome for the project. This forum is mostly just an ecochamber for big whales. Naturally because they hold the most Jup and are staking and then are the most committed here. The team says itâs for growth of the ecosystem genuine users and 58% said yes to the proposal. Itâs time to listen. Looks really bad with the attitude and selfishness coming from big holders. You should be the guys who show the rest of us you believe in the project. Very short sighted.
As already posted a few times in this forum, everyone is free to buy, stake and vote with JUP. One can buy as much JUP as they want and have money for. Jupuary was known and if it had happened with poor conditions for stakers (it still can), lots of stakers would have simply abandoned the ship before Jupuary. And that is already happening with the uncertainty. This is a money game, people go where the money can be made. Ofc no one whined about ASR because it was great, especially in the âearly daysâ.
Jupiter has been underperforming a few weeks now, dropped 20 ranks in coinmarketcap. You want whales to sell and leave? You know it comes with a cost.
You donât understand or even try to understand. I feel like you donât even understand that you donât understand.
the next one will probably pass ig with compensating a percentage and if doesnt meow earned it.
my twitter feed is just JUP lol either one is offending or the one is defending.
even marinoonchain clown was first against jupuary but now his post seems to be lubricating the fud to go slower.
Sure a big whale can drop a hundred million stake and have all the say in the matter. Bad system to have voting power connected to size of Jup you hold. It should only matter in regards to the rewards you get.
@meow Solution: Introduce a badge system whereby anyone with 100$ Jup (numbers fictional) staked and has enough usage of the platform gains voting power. Larger stakers also get badges depending on how much Jup staked. One would need to balance the amount of voting power large stakers get to other genuine consistent users. This will decentralise the Dao and avoid people gaming the system.
Understand it very clearly thanks.
Not a bad idea to have some sort of reputation playing a role on the voting power. Maybe once we get pass the jupuary and catstanbul, they could have a look if some sort of remodeling for the voting could be applied.
Thanks thatâs all I was trying to say and itâs not just my idea. I just added to it and currently this large imbalance of voting power is creating an unbalanced situation.
All this couldâve been easy avoided with some kind of points system
Stakers: between 100-1000 JUP staked X points, between 1001-10,000 JUP staked Y pointsâŚand so on
Voters: between 1-5 votes X points, 6-10 votes Y pointsâŚ
Traders, based on volume or fees paidâŚ
Planetary calls, based on the number of nftâs they holdâŚ
Whatever criteria the team feels like itâs important.
Put together all the points based on the activity of each user and move on if you want to reward the usage of the platform.
Of course, if you care only about the price, just cancel Jupuary and move the supply towards ASR. Nobody will cry about any token dilution after.
No matter how the second vote will go, theyâve lost me. This is not healthy at all.
To brag about how big is your DAO, but to put the decisions in the hands of few, not for me. Where I come from 50% of the votes + 1 vote, wins every single time.
The 70% threshold was made by design for whales. They knew the vote will pass without this threshold.
Thatâs crypto decentralization. They all want to onboard 1st billion of users until it comes to decision making.
You have a lot of good points. But donât forget the team has only been supportive and fair. These are good people. They have tried to include everyone and been very understanding and have been listening to the entire community. But at some point they will need to align themselves with what they already know to be the right choice long term. This they have clearly communicated. Growth.
Everybody is free to think the way they want. Fair, to me, wouldâve been to have this debate few months ago. Fair to me wouldâve been not to disclose any airdrop criteria (including staking only wonât qualify for the airdrop). Fair to me wouldâve been to hear âI respect your viewâ and not âIf you donât align with our view, donât use Jupiter, just goâ. Fair to me itâs the majority to decide, not the minority.
See my friend? We are not all the same. Whatâs fair to you, might not be the same to me. Thatâs why is important to listen to everyone, not just to whoever you want, if you want to be what you say you are: the biggest DAO on the crypto space
How do you think Jupuraryâs potential âinstadumpâ and the associated sell pressure can be mitigated, especially considering the fear of large token unlocks and the impact on JUP holders? What strategies could be implemented to reduce market volatility while still achieving the intended distribution goals?
The only group that should have a large concern with the token price potentially retracing is stakers. As long as the allocation for stakers is large enough, we can handle it. Interesting experiment that Meowâs conducting! These guys have proven themselves to take care of the community. Letâs get this passed and home for the best. I think we should be ok with the new proposal. I understand no vesting for no overhang leading into Catstanbul! LFG!!!
âInstadumpâ is just an assumption. But to answer to your question, I would recommend 70% of Jupuary to go to the stakers with over 10k Jup staked, 20% to go to stakers with up to 9,999 Jup staked and 10% to the rest of the suckers.
On top of that, for the future, I would reward ASR only if you have over 10k staked.
What do you think. Isnât a bulletproof âInstadumpâ?
lol ik you might be annoyed of all this mayhem but he joined just 3 days ago and probably has no idea how long this debate being pulled so hard.
All good. Now they will âinstadumpâ on each other. LMAO
