Currently, the Jupiter DAO operates as a private club rather than a truly decentralized governance body. The core team holds an absolute monopoly over the proposal pipeline. The community watches as trivial, superficial votes (like logo changes or mascot decisions) are fast-tracked to Snapshot instantly, while highly structured, community-driven tokenomic proposals are trapped indefinitely in “Pending” purgatory. If the core team dictates what is allowed to be voted on, we are not a DAO; we are just an audience.
THE PROPOSAL: A Permissionless Voting Pipeline
We must strip the core team of their arbitrary gatekeeping power over the DAO’s agenda and establish a mathematically driven, trustless pipeline for community proposals.
THE NEW RULES OF GOVERNANCE:
Automatic Snapshot Triggers: Any forum proposal that reaches a predefined threshold of community support (e.g., 500 upvotes or explicit backing by delegates holding a combined total of 10M JUP) must automatically proceed to a formal DAO vote within 72 hours. No team approval required.
Abolish “Pending” Purgatory: Moderation by the core team must be strictly limited to filtering out blatant spam, malicious links, or illegal content. The team must not possess the authority to veto, delay, or silently censor valid economic, structural, or tokenomic discourse by keeping it unlisted.
Independent Pipeline Council: Establish a community-elected council of active delegates—entirely independent of the core developers—tasked solely with migrating successful forum threads to active Snapshot votes.
THE VERDICT
The DAO’s capital and attention should not be wasted on aesthetic votes while crucial tokenomic upgrades are ignored. It is time to decentralize the voting pipeline itself. If we are a true DAO, let the community’s metrics decide what is worth voting on, not the core team’s preference.
