We are not aiming to integrate Catalytics into Jupiter and tbh i dont think this is something the Team wants as well. The project will continue as a community project and we will keep investing time into the project next to all other tasks mentioned in the proposal. A more “Jupiter” design is definitely a good idea!

I dont think its a good idea to get into numbers and hours each member invests in this. One think i can surely say is that the DevRel tasks are something we are on from the time we wake up to the time we fall asleep. 7 Days a week. Ofc there are a ton of tasks in the background that are not easy for the everyday user to see but we plan to make things more visible to the community when our X account gets unsuspended. An other important aspect is how we manage to solve different tasks by splitting the workfload. From dev support, to coding, to upgrades, to documentation, to social alignment and calls.

Hello friend, i understand that on the first look it might be a lot but have you seen what the average salary of a dev in 2025 is? And i am definitely not looking at the top 5-10%.
This is a 24/7/365 task, dont forget its not “only” about writing some code, but maintaining it, making it accessible for thousands of people, staying up to date and also keeping aligned with everything that is happening in the web3 / solana / jupiter ecosystem

For talked a lot about the “ask” part. We are happy with this number for the first 3 months. We have proven ourselves in the past 6 months and we have to continue doing this and winning the community’s trust. After this we will review everything she how the community feels and readjust!

Hello friend, as you already mentioned DevRel means and can be interpreted in a lot of ways.
The first 3 months (its not a lot of time) we will try to focus on the most important parts, gather feedback, ideas and see how we can improve. The ideal scenario would be to expand our team with 1 or 2 new members so that we can touch on bigger subjects after our trial.
- Keeping Documentations and Tutorials Up-to-date.
- Helping/Creating proper tooling - We are trying this by supporting people in the dev chat
- Creating proper information dissemination - What do exactly mean here?
- Onboarding new devs to the ecosystem - With our new discord channels we are going to attract more devs to the jupiverse and also with our X content
- Keeping devs engaged - What is your suggestion on this point?

They don’t. These people have gone through the DAO grants process first for over 6 months and already delivered a lot of value to the DAO with very little pay.
Trial work groups are not grants, they’re “are we hiring these people to do work full time?”

Agree with 0xRay here, Dev Rel’s going to unlock a lot of talent in the Jupiverse.

I just wrote up on why 5k a month is a little high for a working group but can’t say that on this proposal. I use the site almost daily, and it provided things I didn’t know I needed haha. This one will have my vote. I think what you bring is important for Jup and the dao. Sooooo many resources !!!

Well, 5k / month for dev rel is actually scary low.
That is 60k annual, so it is very underpaid if the effort is full-time.
I would almost argue to say that the DRWG contributors should be compensated more. Whether in this trial proposal, or in the eventual full WG proposal.
Dev Rel hires you are usually looking at mid-high 6 figures annual in tech & web3.
Even non-technical roles in web3 (BD, Marketing, Growth, Ops, Community, etc.) you are typically looking at least low 6 figures annual (100k USD+), sometimes just a notch below, on the lower end, (depending on the company).
If you want good talent, you have to compensate appropriately and competitively.
And Jupiter needs the best talent behind one of the best products in web3.

I think the projects are good, but why are the salaries so high? $5,000 for this seems excessive to me, especially considering the limited impact it will have on Jupiter!

Our community is built on loyalty to the Jupiter project, so your idea — even if unofficial — to introduce badges as a symbolic reward for Top Stakers was truly spot-on. It would be awesome to see this turn into an actual feature on the Jupiter mobile app!
