many people liked this badges, maybe we have to bring some more ![]()
Catalytics crashes a lot, sometimes inaccessible. Not worth paying $5k month per employee. Voting no on the proposal. This jup DAO has become a circus, initially many here used to volunteer but now that one grant has been passed, we are getting more and more or these. Hilarious.
A definite yes from me. Github examples with support for AI agents would be great too. (Thinking about support for ElizaOS via Jupiter). Something to look into?
Thanks for taking the time to reply and apologies in advance if I came out wrong or rude. In no way am I trying to diminish your work/job nor undervalue it. I generalized when making the previous statement and that was very wrong. Also after really looking into you proposal and trying to understand it better I came to realize that the root of my disagreement lies somewhere else not necessarilly all over your proposal. After carefully reviewing it I feel that although I still disagree with the amounts (compensation ones) as long as your proposal can accomplish what is initially described it should in a way make sense. In the end It is ok to disagree. I think the best ls to allow for your work to speak for yourselves, I have 0 motives to not trust on your skills or the quality of the service/product after reading your replies, as well as what you are offering/promising, you also have community support which is a good indicator. and the fact that you can deliver so all I say is good luck. You have my support, I´ve concluded that focusing on that makes no point when the real issue lies in the voting system and the VP allocation. My focus was misplaced for a couple moments there.
I appreciate the effort behind this proposal, but I have some fundamental concerns about the structure and efficiency of the DAO. I’d love to get some clarity on a few points:
- Why so many working groups?
It feels like every Discord channel is turning into its own working group. What is the real advantage of this approach? How do working groups differ from team members, and why isn’t the team just hiring a few key people to organize things more efficiently? - Voting incentives and sustainability
In Jup DAO, people primarily vote to secure their rewards rather than because they care about the proposals. Is there a mechanism in place to ensure that voting remains meaningful? How sustainable is this model in the long run? - DAO finances and Jupiter income
How exactly does the DAO generate income? For example, do earnings from Jupiter Perps go to the DAO or the team? Transparency on financial flows would be helpful. - General structure and transparency
The current setup feels somewhat unclear, and to an outsider, it might even resemble favoritism. Where is the DAO officially registered, and how is accountability ensured?
Overall, I’m trying to understand the fundamentals better. If someone could take the time to explain, I’d really appreciate it. I’m open to changing my perspective if I can see the long-term benefits of the current structure.
Looking forward to insights from the community!
This is a solid proposal! Konstantinos is one of the most hardworking and diligent people I know in the Jupiverse. He has already proven his value with Catalytics, and I have no doubt he will achieve even more. I believe he’s fully capable of leading the DevRel Working Group.
Voting YES for his team because of these reasons!
You probably didnt even read the proposal because if you did you would know that this is not about catalytics.
Catalytics has been a community project with over 6 months of work with no pay, we received a grant of 3000 USDC in the end of December and over 50% of this were infrastructure, subscriptions and services costs of the past months. idk what your expecations are from community members building community projects. That the project has over 30k unique users and averages 2-3k visitors per day is a big success.
Whatever, thank you for bringing up your concerns and for your feedback.
Thank you for your trust AtomicKnight
Thank you for taking the time to write this comment, i appreciate that.
Thats why we create this proposal, to get feedback and to see what people think.
As you said its also ok to disagree. ![]()
Thank you so much for the nice words and the support Adeda ![]()
For information dissemination I believe that the good implementations and techniques for using Jupiter API can be shared in a section of documentations and tutorials. YouTube videos and xTwitter post highlighting these tips and tricks can also be shared by the DevRel working group. Similar to what R0bre does with security tips.
For developer engagement a key thing would be help me get to production use faster. Doing hackathons or similar can also be considered a way to keep developer engagement high. The idea is when you do enough hackathons or build enough stuff with a someone you can determine if you want to start a project with that. More opportunities for building means more chances you find someone you vibe enough with to start a project with.
Devrel is a crucial effort in Web3. It’s as simple as that.
I’ll try my best to answer these since you asked nicely, but lets also be conscious about the topic at hand, which is the DevRel Working Group Trial.
The Jupiter team envisioned thousands of workgroups when they instantiated the DAO. I don’t think that’s realistic, but we have a relatively small amount of workgroups all working within their own fields to improve the DAO and the conditions of success for Jupiter as a product. It’s important to know the distinction between working within the Jupiter team, and working in the Jupiter DAO. The Jupiter DAO hires people through the workgroup model, whereas the Jupiter team hires people in a more conventional way. The Jupiter DAO employs a horizontal structure of meritocracy wherein you can work largely autonomously within your field along side other groups doing the same.
We are actually working on several things and auditing the whole process of voting and issues in relation to voting as we speak. Expect some updates on that in the next few weeks where we’ll try to improve the voting experience and relevance in the DAO.
The Jupiter team funded the DAO with 10m USDC and 100m Jup tokens on genesis, and have committed to ‘refill’ back up to this level once a year. More info here: First DAO Funding
Okay, so there’s a bit to unpack here. First and foremost, the DAO is undergoing a legal restructuring as we speak where we will establish a fully fledged legal entity for the DAO and all relevant paperwork thereof.
As for favoritism, there is none. The work group trials that go to a vote are initiatives that have applied to our grants system, worked tirelessly for months to prove their worth and finally arrived at a trial WG proposal wherein they will be able to showcase their skillset and usefulness to the DAO as a whole.
Take DevRel for instance, since this a response to their proposal. They’ve built Catalytics, The Jupiverse Kit and is maintaining most of the developer support in discord, which is a huge undertaking. It’s an effort that directly increases the Jupiter teams availability because Devrel is assisting the support and relations efforts.

This is planned, in station there are already examples and with our github repo developer can find real examples and how to use the APIs

Hackathons are something that needs time, tbh i dont think that we are going to be able to host and organize hackathons in 3 months. If this would be the number 1 priority it would be possible, but for now there is a long backlog with thinks mentioned in the proposal that have higher priority. But this is definitely in the agend for the future, when applying for a full working group.
Thanks for the quick response!
The last point is probably the most interesting—this transition to a “real” DAO. Many DAOs go the Cayman Islands route, but so much is still in a grey area. It’ll be fascinating to see what Jupiter comes up with, and there are definitely a lot of open questions. Still a long way to go.
My main issue, as with the previous vote, is understanding why these initiatives are funded through the DAO treasury. For example, in this DevRel proposal—what can realistically be achieved in just three months? Is the goal to support community developers, or is this primarily assisting the Jupiter team? Wouldn’t it make more sense for the team to hire someone dedicated to helping community developers and acting as a bridge between them and the team?
Overall, I think the DAO structure and transparency need to be much clearer before hiring and paying all these people. Their résumés look impressive, but I don’t understand why the DAO is funding these roles instead of the team directly.
Looking forward to more insights!
Saw throughthe comments where you said there will be no hosting if hackerthons but will there be any support for someone who enters one? ![]()
We will not host our own hackathons at least in the next 3 months. After this period we have this in our roadmap. 3 Months is just a very small timeframe to organize and execute something like that.
What exactly do you mean with support for someone who enters?
Konstantinos and Catalytics team in general have already proven their worth, they have worked unselfishly and have promoted the Jupiverse community. His proposal regarding developers is something that is missing from Discord and the budget he asks is within reasonable frames. I believe that the recognized value of the group can guarantee future results in their new venture .I wiill vote for DevRelWG ![]()
Thank you so much George, much appreciated!
Yea I got that part,
I meant if someone participates in a hackerthon will you offer any form of support, yk building wise n stuffs like that ![]()
