General DAO Questions
Why were DAO votes paused until 2026?
The pause in voting was implemented to focus on fundamental changes to the DAO structure, which is much more difficult with ongoing votes. This break is intended to help evolve the overall structure and lead to smarter, more scalable governance in the future.

Will Active Staking Rewards (ASR) continue during the vote pause?
Yes, Active Staking Rewards will continue to be distributed based on a time-weighted stake until the end of 2025 — the longer your JUP is staked throughout a quarter, the higher the ASR will be, even though votes are paused.
Where do the funds for ASR Q4 come from?
Active Staking Rewards for Q4 2025 are funded with unclaimed JUP tokens from Jupuary, as specified in the Jupuary proposal approved by the DAO.

Why is there a 30-day unstaking period for JUP tokens?
The 30-day unstaking countdown was implemented to avoid holders gaming the system (buying and staking during votes to earn ASR and unstaking immediately after). Team members have posted various arguments in favor of it in the past.
However, Kash has indicated that this will be reconsidered when DAO 2.0 comes online in 2026: https://x.com/kashdhanda/status/1935739071021625651
Token Questions
I have an idea about XYZ utility for JUP
As per DAO Resolution approved by the DAO, any matters related to token utility are handled exclusively by the team: The Next 2 Years: DAO Resolution Pt.1
Any suggestions regarding token utility will be passed on to the team for consideration.
What is the state of the Litterbox Trust Fund, given the DAO pause?
The Litterbox Trust Fund continues accumulating JUP on a daily basis with 50% of Jupiter’s revenue allocated for it. The progress can be monitored through an unofficial automated X account: https://x.com/litterboxtrust
Strategic Direction
What are the current priorities for Jupiter DAO development?
Throughout the next 6 months, the team and the DAO will review the current governance structure and work on improving it. This includes touching on the voting process, improving education and information distribution, and addressing issues that have been identified through community feedback.
How is the Work Group system being managed during the voting pause?
During the vote pause, Kash has said 3 things in regards to any Work Groups:
- No new WGs or Emissions will come from the DAO treasury, other than those already with an approved budget(such as CAWG or J&J)
- The Jupiter team will continue funding community efforts from the team’s own treasury
- Any trial workgroups would have a conversation with the team, and their funding would be on a case by case basis
Additionally, the Work Group system will likely undergo a revamp during this period to address issues identified through community feedback.
