Jupiter Product Academy Grant Audit

Intro
Jupiter Product Academy: 8-Week Audit & Evolution

Over the past 8 weeks, the Jupiter Product Academy Work Group ran an ambitious onboarding and education initiative designed to help more users understand, adopt, and evangelise Jupiter’s growing product suite.

This blog post provides a full audit of what we built, what we learned, how funding was spent, and where we’re heading next.

This was done voluntarily.

Summary of Achievements

1.

Whiteboard Explainer Series

  • 12 whiteboard videos explaining Jupiter products in a beginner-friendly, animated style.
  • Each week, a new topic: swaps, perps, JUPSOL, Jupiter Radar, etc.
  • Created by Lochie, who handled scripting, editing, and voiceovers (using new recording equipment for improved quality).
  • First 3–4 videos were produced pre-funding to establish proof of work.
  • 110,000 + views (one more episode pending)

  • Designed to pair with the videos for those who prefer text.
  • Will be repurposed into Shiva’s Jupiter Wiki as a standalone knowledge resource.
  • Lochie will no longer produce guides — Shiva will take full ownership of written materials in his own unique grant.

5.

  • Operated continuously for 16 weeks (8 during the grant).
  • Peaked at ~400 members → pruned to a high-quality core of 130+ active contributors after audits.
  • Focused on identifying onboarding opportunities, sharing educational content, and evangelising Jupiter Mobile.

[details=“Summary”]

New Structure (Post-Grant):

  • #Submit-Posts channel: Members submit tweets worth engaging with.
  • Only the submitter + Lochie can engage to avoid spammy threads.
  • Larger raids: Handled by 5–10 designated raiders.
  • Weekly USDC rewards: 10 winners each week receive $25 for quality participation.

Challenges & Adaptations

1.

Quality Control Early On

  • Initial videos used AI voiceovers, which drew feedback.
  • Lochie upgraded equipment and re-recorded all future episodes for a more authentic feel.

2.

Process Misalignment

  • Some friction emerged when videos were released before guides were ready.
  • Changes to time comittement expectations for each memeber
  • Ultimately led to a respectful split:
    • Shiva continues as Jupiter Product Academy
    • Lochie rebrands to Jupiter Evangelism WG

3.

Telegram Moderation

  • Early raids led to 50+ spammy comments on posts… people thought we were bots
  • New structure: Precision over volume
  • Some users exploited the invite code system via mutual friends — flagged and banned.
  • Prize format evolved to random draw based on activity to keep it fair.

4.

Distribution Limits

  • Video quality not initially suitable for Jupiter’s official YouTube.
  • Rather than fragment the audience with a new channel, focused on reach via X and TG.
  • Future plan: Upgrade visuals and editing to reach YouTube quality standards.

** The Future of Evangelism**

With the initial grant complete, both Lochie and Shiva are pursuing complementary but independent paths:

Lochie: Jupiter Evangelism WG

  • Continues weekly whiteboard explainers
  • Biweekly Jupiter Highlight videos with Ordi
  • Manages TG group with 13 more weeks of funded prizes
  • Will return unspent onboarding funds if program ends
  • Building an internal guide for effective onboarding techniques
  • Exploring the idea **IRL onboarding content ** (similar to Uplink) and scaling TG back to 200+ members
  • May launch @JupiterEvangelism X account if needed
  • Interested in 3-month budget extension via core team or Kash

Shiva: Jupiter Product Academy

  • Continues to write product guides and Jupiter Wiki
  • Interested in IRL onboarding and education
  • Maintains a separate direction but with alignment in goals

Final Reflections

  • This was a true community experiment:

  • We built from scratch.

  • We improved with every piece of feedback.

  • We adapted when things didn’t work.

  • We stayed aligned on helping new users feel confident with Jupiter.

  • We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built and even more excited about what comes next.

  • If you’ve supported, shared, or participated in any way: thank you.

  • Pursuing seperate paths.

  • We’re just getting started.
