I’ve been using the KAST card for about 6 months, and I’ve really liked it. It can almost replace my existing credit card, though not entirely (doesn’t work everywhere, is only a debit card).
One feature I have really like is the MOVE rewards. KAST gives you both points (towards future TGE) and cashback in the form of MOVE tokens. You can send those MOVE tokens, gas free, to a Movement wallet and use them like any other token on chain.
Now Movement is a pretty dead L1, there’s very little actually going on on that thing.
But I have never been able to use my credit card points as easily as what I can these MOVE tokens.
I think Jupiter should consider a similar cashback rewards program, for Jupiter Global, that goes into tokens someone can then use in the Solana eco. You could do partnerships with projects over time e.g., March rewards in JTO, April rewards in BONK etc…
The current USDC rewards are fine but not really driving me to do anything.
It’s very much an onboard to crypto for newer entrants. In the KAST example you don’t have to have crypto at all. You can just send money to the card to spend and then you suddenly have MOVE tokens you can degen with on chain and they feel very much like ‘free money’. Given the ability Jupiter has to educate people and the wealth of ways to use tokens Solana has, this could be a lot bigger than what KAST is doing (who don’t have good education resources for MOVE and there’s very little you can do on Movement).
